November-December Readalong: The Christmas Books

Welcome to our November-December readalong! We know this is a crazy-busy time of year for most people, and so we have chosen three shorter reads rather than one longer novel. And, because we're heading toward Christmas, we just had to go with Dickens. If you have never read A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, and The Cricket on the Hearth before then you are in for a treat. These are also great readaloud options for families to enjoy together.

If you don't have physical copies of the stories, you can read them for free online here: A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, and The Cricket on the Hearth. You can also listen to them free on Librivox: A Christmas Carol has many options, and Christmas Books has all three stories. (I haven't listened to any of these versions, so I can't say how good they are.)

If you prefer Audible, there are several versions of A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, and The Cricket on the Hearth.

The forum is where the discussion will be happening, so if you haven't joined yet then this is the perfect time. (It's free!)

There is no preferred order for reading the stories; you don't even need to read all of them. We're trying to keep this as low pressure as possible. Let us know in the comments if you're going to be joining us for the readalong, and which story you're starting with.

Happy reading!
